Overview
Journal of Biological Research is an international peer-reviewed open access journal publishes original fundamental and applied research, review and short communication in a wide range of biology.
Journal of Biological Research is a quarterly journal to be published on March, June, September and December of each year. The journal has been published by Scientific Center for Biological Research since 2024.
Scope
Papers submitted for publication in Journal of Biological Research must report original research that provides new insights into biological science. The research must be hypothesis-driven and present novel biological insights that enhance our understanding and management of biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology, biotechnology, agricultural science, medicine and environmental science. The significance of the research and its relevance to published research must be clearly stated.
Intended Readership
The publication is intended to both scientific and technical professionals as well as wide range of intellectual readers that are eager to be aware of the recent achievements of biology, biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology, biotechnology, agricultural science, medicine and environmental science.
Open access
The journal has a designed and approved cover and title pages, issue imprint, eISSN, editorial staff, editorial policy, publication ethics and website. All papers published in Journal of Biological Research are published in full open access.
Journal articles are registered in the CrossRef database, and each author's article assigned a DOI - a digital object identifier, which is used to provide citations, links and access to electronic documents.
The journal follows the policy of information openness and accessibility of authors' publications; articles are posted on the journal's website in three languages in full-text access.
Manuscript Types
Original research papers
Research articles make up the bulk of Journal of Biological Research. Original research papers should report the results of original research. The material should not have been previously published elsewhere.
Short Communication
Short Communications should not exceed 2 500 words and include no more than two tables or figures. The manuscript should contain a brief Abstract, main manuscript body (not divided into subsections), Literature Cited.
Review articles
Review articles on biology topics are invited for publication. They should give an update on recent advances in a particular field and be targeted at researchers who are not necessarily working in the same field. The length should not exceed 10 000 words.
